Dear Colleagues
I have some news which may come as a surprise to many of you:  This past Su=
nday I announced to my congregation that I will be resigning.  My last Sund=
ay at Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be on September 9.=20
My decision to resign is based on personal reasons and is in no way a refle=
ction of my relationship with the congregation. I have in fact been very ha=
ppy there and will miss the ministry and the people very much.=20
At this point I am not preparing for another call. However I still consider=
 you my colleagues and I still support the mission and ministry of our pari=
sh as well as our synod and the ELCA.  I thank you for your friendship and =
collegiality which I have enjoyed over the years and which I have appreciat=
ed very much.
