Dear Colleagues
I have some news which may come as a surprise to many of you:  This past Sunday
I announced to my congregation that I will be resigning.  My last Sunday at
Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be on September 9. 
My decision to resign is based on personal reasons and is in no way a reflection
of my relationship with the congregation. I have in fact been very happy there
and will miss the ministry and the people very much. 
At this point I am not preparing for another call. However I still consider you
my colleagues and I still support the mission and ministry of our parish as
well as our synod and the ELCA.  I thank you for your friendship and
collegiality which I have enjoyed over the years and which I have appreciated
very much.
