Christ the Good Shepherd has news, which I had planned to let you know at o=
ur meeting on Thursday.=C2=A0 Since the meeting has now been cancelled, I w=
ill let you know via this email that CGS has identified a pastoral candidat=
e.=C2=A0 The call meeting is January 26, which Pastor Katy Grindberg will l=
ead along with the call committee.=C2=A0 This call meeting and vote will fo=
llow several opportunities for the congregation to "meet and greet" that ca=
ndidate.=C2=A0 I will let you know how the vote turns out after it is offic=
ial.=C2=A0 Assuming the congregation calls her, I'm guessing I will be done=
 serving as their interim pastor=C2=A0by the end of February.=C2=A0 This ti=
ming=C2=A0is only a guess at this point, but a pretty certain guess.=C2=A0=

The other aspect to this news is that I will be=C2=A0 available for any gue=
st preaching, teaching, worship leadership, pastoral care assistance,=C2=A0=
or anything else you might need some help with by early March.=C2=A0=C2=A0P=
lease keep me in mind as you plan your vacations or need some extra help wi=
th ministry.=C2=A0 I would also be available to lead a retreat or discussio=
n on various topics including spiritual gifts and gift based ministry, cong=
regational size and life cycles and how to deal with these transitions.=C2=
=A0 I have also just helped CGS with a Safe Community policy, and some chan=
ges within the personnel policy and employee handbook.=C2=A0=20
