Hi everyone.  Greetings in the new year!

Christ the Good Shepherd has news, which I had planned to let you know at o=
ur meeting on Thursday.  Since the meeting has now been cancelled, I will l=
et you know via this email that CGS has identified a pastoral candidate.  T=
he call meeting is January 26, which Pastor Katy Grindberg will lead along =
with the call committee.  This call meeting and vote will follow several op=
portunities for the congregation to "meet and greet" that candidate.  I wil=
l let you know how the vote turns out after it is official.  Assuming the c=
ongregation calls her, I'm guessing I will be done serving as their interim=
 pastor by the end of February.  This timing is only a guess at this point,=
 but a pretty certain guess. =20

The other aspect to this news is that I will be  available for any guest pr=
eaching, teaching, worship leadership, pastoral care assistance, or anythin=
g else you might need some help with by early March.  Please keep me in min=
d as you plan your vacations or need some extra help with ministry.  I woul=
d also be available to lead a retreat or discussion on various topics inclu=
ding spiritual gifts and gift based ministry, congregational size and life =
cycles and how to deal with these transitions.  I have also just helped CGS=
 with a Safe Community policy, and some changes within the personnel policy=
 and employee handbook.=20

Please keep CGS, the call process, their new pastoral candidate and myself =
in your prayers as we go through this transition. =20

day gathering.
Well due to my lack of attention, there is nothing planned.  I am very sorr=
y, and will promise to do much better for February.

Getting a head start, who would like to host either Feb 6th or March 6th?  =
I will figure out some discussion topics, or you all can suggest some.
Please volunteer to host, especially if we have been to your place in a whi=
le.
