At our last meeting several of you had questions about how to use the google
group we have set up. I hope the following answers help a little.

Q: Am I on the list?

A: If you get this e-mail you are definitely on the list. The e-mail would
have not reached you otherwise.

Q: How do I know that the e-mail I am getting is from the google group?

A: Scroll down to the bottom of your e-mail, and there it will say that this
is a group communication.

Q: How can I write an e-mail to those who are on the list?

A: it is very simple. You send it to scvlp@googlegroups.com as if you are
sending it to an individual. Click on this e-mail and try it out!

Q: What if I am not confident about using group e-mail?

A: Actually, most of you seem to be in that boat, based on the questions I
am getting from you. So my advice would be to simply play with it. How about
writing to the group and wishing everybody a good morning. Don't be
embarrassed, please, everyone will understand, because I am getting a lot of
questions on how this works.

Q: Can I go directly to the SCVLP Google website?

A: No. I have set it up as a restricted group, to protect our privacy. You
have to sign in with google groups first. Here is how it works: Go to
http://groups.google.com/ and there, at the very, very top of the page,
above the google logo, on the very right hand side, you will see the sign in
option. (It took me awhile to see it myself). Click there and give the
e-mail address and password which you used to sign up for google, and you
will get access to all the google groups of which you are a member.

I am new to the google wonder-world myself. Those of you who are veterans,
please feel free to add your 2c worth!

Bea
