On October 22nd, 2011, at the Sierra Pacific Synod District D Assembly=20
held at Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in San Jose, California,=
=20
the meeting of the Santa Clara Valley Lutheran Parish was opened by=20
Pastor Anne Carlson, conference dean.=20

After opening announcements, Pastor Bea Chun read the minutes from last=20
year's meeting. A suggestion was made that in the future the minutes be=20
printed out and given to members to read.=20

Pastor Carlson said that the Conference Treasurer tells her we have=20
approximately $7,000 in our account. =C2=A0She reminded members that the=20
annual Conference dues are needed.=20

Last year $1000 was designated to help pay for the Bishop to travel=20
to Taiwan to meet with our sister synod. =C2=A0As the Bishop has had health=
=20
issues, this money has not been used and is quite unlikely to be used.=20
Therefore, it was moved the money be redesignated for something else.=20
The motion was seconded and approved.=20
=C2=A0=20
It was moved that the redesignated $1000 and an additional $1000 be=20
allocated to the Pueblo de Dios mission, and an additional $1000 be=20
allocated to Lutheran Disaster Relief for the victims of the floods=20
in Central America, especialy El Salvador. =C2=A0The motion was seconded=20
and approved.=20

Pastor Carlson moved that $500 be set aside for the Professional Leaders=20
Conference. The motion was seconded and approved.=20

Nominations for the 2013 Church-wide Assembly were the next order of=20
business.=20
=C2=A0=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0A. Lay Male voting member=20
=C2=A0=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 Nominated and approved: =C2=A0Paul Thomas=
=20
=C2=A0=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0B. Lay Female voting member=20
=C2=A0=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 No nominations. We have until the first o=
f February to come up=20
