Hi -

Thanks to the excellent notes provided by Paul Thomas, here is a draft of
minutes for the meeting. Please let me know if any corrections are needed.

Randy
-----------------------------------
On October 22nd, 2011, at the Sierra Pacific Synod District D Assembly
held at Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in San Jose, California,
the meeting of the Santa Clara Valley Lutheran Parish was opened by
Pastor Anne Carlson, conference dean.

After opening announcements, Pastor Bea Chun read the minutes from last
year's meeting. A suggestion was made that in the future the minutes be
printed out and given to members to read.

Pastor Carlson said that the Conference Treasurer tells her we have
approximately $7,000 in our account. She reminded members that the
annual Conference dues are needed.

Last year $1000 was designated to help pay for the Bishop to travel
to Taiwan to meet with our sister synod. As the Bishop has had health
issues, this money has not been used and is quite unlikely to be used.
Therefore, it was moved the money be redesignated for something else.
The motion was seconded and approved.

It was moved that the redesignated $1000 and an additional $1000 be
allocated to the Pueblo de Dios mission, and an additional $1000 be
allocated to Lutheran Disaster Relief for the victims of the floods
in Central America, especialy El Salvador. The motion was seconded
and approved.

Pastor Carlson moved that $500 be set aside for the Professional Leaders
Conference. The motion was seconded and approved.

Nominations for the 2013 Church-wide Assembly were the next order of
business.
      A. Lay Male voting member
         Nominated and approved: Paul Thomas
      B. Lay Female voting member
No nominations. We have until the first of February to come up
with a nomination. (Or we can nominate from the floor of the
         Synod Assembly)
      C. Clergy member
         Nominated and approved: Gabriele Schroeder

The meeting closed with a prayer.
