Dear Colleagues,
Thanks for the good fellowship at the new El Camino Real Conference
gathering today. I want to invite you (ministers) to a next opportunity to
get together and encourage one another. On Thursday, October 6th, we will
have a brown-bag lunch meeting at St. Luke in Sunnyvale at noon. We will
have communion together and talk about our lives and ministries until about
1:30 or so. I could use your help. I find that my own character defects
keep me from being the best minister I can be. Would you be willing to
share for one to two minutes on what helps you to be your best. Sharing
struggles would be fine but not necessary. Some of my challenges that keep
me from being a good colleague and pastor are things like being overly
sensitive to criticism and being judgmental of others. That's only the
beginning of a long list! Thanks in advance for helping by sharing some of
your tips for moving to a more graceful and generous place.
