Hi Colleagues,

We have a little insurance issue/debate going on here at Immanuel. A
representative from our liability insurance, Church Mutual, has suddenly
contacted us asking our council to pass a resolution indicating we will
keep a log of every volunteer who does anything for the church or comes on
our property, when they're here, and what they're doing. As you can imagine
that can literally mean dozens (some weeks even hundreds) of log entries in
a busy week. We're asking who would keep that, how would it be managed,
etc. Since none of us have ever heard of anything like this before, we're
wondering if any of the rest of you are encountering something similar. Is
it new? Peculiar to one insurance company or type of coverage?

Any insight to this that you can provide will be appreciated. If you have
someone in your congregation who has more knowledge about this, we
appreciate being able to contact them.

Thanks,
David
