I successfully got flags moved from the sanctuary to the narthex at a previ=
ous congregation. A bit of remodeling and rearranging in the sanctuary help=
ed me do this, plus some rationale I supplied. I just looked and saw that w=
e have flags in our narthex here at Immanuel, but I've never even noticed t=
hem in three years, because they are quite inconspicuous. Emotional issues =
like this often require compromise. In my opinion the narthex is a good com=
promise.
