Hello folks,

Thanks to those of you who weighed in about getting together. I've heard
such a wide range of reasons to/not to get together. We're all over the map
here in the valley.

So here's the experiment I propose. It seems that one theme is a desire to
grow together - spiritually, in our leadership, or as a community. One
resource I have found helpful for growth (individually and communally) are
the videos of The Work of the People.

videos are interviews with theologians and leaders on a whole range of
topics and ideas.

*I'd like to invite you to CGS on the Third Thursday at 12:30pm to watch
one of these videos - an interview with Reggie Williams.*

Williams is a Christian Ethicist

Theological Seminary and in this video titled "Restoration of Relationship"
he talks on the false ideal of what it means to be human in the West with
regards to race and the Church=E2=80=99s role as a mobilizing engine for th=
e
practice of this idealized humanity - white supremacy. It's only 15 minutes
long. My plan is that we'll watch it together and have a short discussion.
Then if we have information or news to share, we can. I would anticipate us
being finished by 2pm at the latest.
