Volunteer Positions available for the 2012 Synod Assembly

 

The 2012 Synod Assembly will take place in our backyard - in San Jose

The dates are May 18 through May 20, 2012

 

Currently we are looking to fill the following volunteer positions:

1. Overall volunteer coordinator: This person will work closely with Pr.
Maryann Fiene who has been the coordinator for the past assembly and has
done such a good job that all the volunteers had a great time.

This person would need to spend 1-2 hrs per week during the 6 weeks before
the assembly and then be available throughout the assembly. This person will
also need good computer literacy and familiarity with spreadsheets and
tables. But most important qualification is that the volunteer coordinator
likes people and likes working with people.

 

2. A city desk coordinator: this person would organize the staffing of a
desk that provides information about the City of San Jose and helps people
find their way around the city of San Jose.

 

3. Assembly Information coordinator: This person would organize the staff of
a desk that helps assembly goers find their way around the hotel and
convention center and directs them to meetings.
