Director of Youth & Family Ministry Position
to grow a viable ministry for & with the youth and families of
Evergreen, San Jose, CA.
Qualifications
Growing Faith & Theology that is in alignment with mission, vision and
core values of Grace Church of Evergreen.
Experience and Education
Experience working with youth and Family. Completed High School and
courses and/or program in Bible and ministry. College and/or seminary
degree an asset but not required.
Key Attributes of a Director of Youth and Family Ministry
Loves the Lord and can express his/her faith well. Loves the Church.
Passionate about their job, Loves to be with children, youth, and
their families. Is a director and not just a doer. Understands
ministry as a team endeavor. Is willing to receive coaching, outside
training, and on-the-job training. Faith is grace-oriented and lives a
faith-filled and faithful life in response to God's grace.
Is organized and able to clearly and effectively communicate with the
congregation and church leadership.
Program Responsibilities
The goal is to equip parents, mentors, and other adults as well as
youth with leadership skills to do the ministry. The job is to build
on God's vision, equip families for their ministries, direct the
ministries, and support the doers of ministry.
This is a contracted one year position. It is full time with a
stipend. Available as early as October 1, 2011.
