Hi Colleagues,

David Schick here from Immanuel, Los Altos. I'm sending this to churches I
have emails for in the two conferences my church has straddled with our
recent conference layout changes. We have an opening here on our staff for
a music and worship leader for our contemporary service. I have a
description below of what we're looking for in this position. This is a
part time position and pays well. Two questions:
1. Do you know anyone that you could connect us with who seems like a good
fit?
2. Do you have any suggestions for where and how best to advertise this
position?

Here's a description of the position:
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Los Altos is seeking a new Praise Team Director.
Our director will:
- Possess excellent musical skills and knowledge as well as some vocal and
instrumental ability (preferred instruments are keyboards or guitar)
- Be comfortable in front of a congregation leading worship
- Direct and oversee a team of volunteer musicians and singers. Work to
help the team improve its musical skills
- Select and practice music with the team, and introduce new music to the
congregation on a regular basis
- Enjoy working positively and creatively with the pastor, other staff and
musicians, and congregational members
- Provide worship leadership with the goal of inspiring people in their
faith in Jesus Christ
