Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church will be hosting two youth from Rwanda and our=
 sister parish pastor (David Ntendendeza) on the weekend of July 30 and 31.=
 We would like to invite anyone in the parish who would like to come to mee=
t and greet our visitors to do so on Saturday evening, July 30.

We will be doing a picnic/barbecue at the church on July 30, beginning at 6=
pm. There will be a time during the evening for our visitors to tell us abo=
ut Rwanda (and their home/schools) and about what they have learned on thei=
r trip to the Sierra Pacific Synod. Everyone present will also have a chanc=
e to ask questions of them. We hope that members of the congregations of th=
e SCVLP will want to join us for this exciting opportunity, and that some o=
f the pastors in the parish will want to meet Pastor David.

The cost of the evening will be $5 plus a side dish per person. We will be =
barbecuing hamburgers and hot dogs and will provide Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and w=
ater -- hoping that the rest of the meal will be adequately covered by what=
 those in attendance bring.

We only have room for 100 so please either email the church office (HRLC951=
26@aol.com) or call my Administrative Assistant, Sara Calkins, at 408 296-4=
040. You may pay on the evening of the event, but please let us know in adv=
ance if you are planning to attend.

I hope that each congregation will run a notice of this taking place in the=
ir newsletter (if still possible) or in their announcements for Sunday morn=
ing
